Moved from FreeBSD 4.10 to 5.3-RELEASE

Moved my office primary workstation from 4.10 to 5-3 last week with a bigger hard disk. Most of the week was spent in getting packages installed from the ports. The good news is that my faith in the 5.x branch just went up manifolds. The stability of the OS with my workload has comparable to 4.10 but the performance is not quiet on par with 4.10 though. 54. should have all the kick ass performance tweaks hopefully.

From what I gather from freebsd-performance@, its shaping up really well.

I can now run Mixxx at office now since 5.3 has better threads support over 4.x. Yay!
