Dogs and Chickens!

Oh, got to tell you ppl about the time I took Anjali's pup “Nikki” for a walk. “Anjali, get me 2 loaves of bread and take the dog for walk”, said Anjali's mother. “Shanu… I cant walk the dog AND carry bread at the same time so…” said Anjali to me. “Grrr… I'll come along and hold the bread” said Shanu sweetly.

So we start walking down the road and lo, what do we see… one small lil dog on the road. Nikki goes “woof”, street dog goes “WOOF”. Nikki turns chicken, Nikki puts his short lil paws with long sharp nails on my legs and scratches the crap outta me.

This was just the start, then we had to pass by Jessie's (no relation to my colleague) house. Jessie is Nikki's mom. So here we are walking past the gate when Jessie and another pup comes storming out like a hurricane and go on a loud barking frenzy. And pretty soon, the entire neighbourhood was barking.

Our lil hero goes “yelp yelp yelp”, sort of like the scene from Asterix in Spain where li'l Pepe ties a pan to Dogmatix's tail and the dog yelps and runs around for help. So i hug him like I a teddy bear and he hugs me like a scratching post. Aaah.. what fun!

Nikki is currently recovering from the near death experience and I am recovering from all the scratches.
