End of the month only means one thing for me these days – empty wallet. Had a couple of overdue bills to be paid which I paid yday and now I am almost pauper. Took a decision that I would stay at home and not be thrifty till my next paycheck arrives.
Sunday 6:30PM I was at the “Tavern At The Inn” on Museum Road with and , 9PM, I was at Ravi's Kitchen in Koramangala for dinner and at 10PM I was at Corner House on Airport Road for desert.
Sheesh…. so much for not being thrifty. 😀
This was my first time to Ravi's Kitchen which is a Mallu speciality restaurant and serves decent veggie stuff too. The rates are rock bottom when compared to Windsor Pub and I hogged on Appams/Veg Stew and Idiappam/Kadala Curry.
The only thing missing was “Puttu”.
I had bought a bootlegged version of “The Mothman Prophecies” DVD from S.P. Road a a couple of weeks back for 160 bucks which turned out to be a camera print. Since my high (cough!) standards prevents me from watching camera prints, we bugged our local DVD guy to get us a original copy of TMP. He finally got us a original copy of TMP last Saturday.
TMP is a based on true events of people in Point Pleasant, W.V seeing strange moth like beings. Richard Gere plays the role of a reporter who goes to Point Pleasant to investigate the sightings. Incidently, his wife who sustains injuries after a car crash, dies leaving behind sketches of a moth like creature by her bedside.
The movie isn't exactly a horror flick, but more of a psychic thriller with oodles of eerie moments. DVD rocks for these kind of flicks which have unaudible conversations – simply turn on the English subtitles and you are done. 😀
The sound track is pretty good too. It has this great song called “Half Light” by “low” featuring “tomandandy” which I am trying to google ATM.
Apparently, the “mothman” has appeared in an X-files episode.

Went all the way to “Rukma” Travels (Madiwala) in the afternoon to pick up some stuff which was sent to my aunt from Kottayam which turned out to be some fancy fruit which grows over there. Yucky stuff!
Later myself and cousin Bharath visited the Levi's store on Brigades to pick up a pair of jeans each. The plan was to hang out at Brigades till the other guys could come over by 8 and we could catch the 2nd show of “Showtime” at Rex.
Unfortunately, it started to rain and we quickly headed back for home.
Bought 2 CDs from Planet M – Untouchables (Korn) and the new Nitin Sawhney album.
