Using fusefs

Late night hackery to get fusefs-sshfs to play music from my office workstation. This makes file manipulation so quick and easy. Perfect for situations like editing remote files with VI yet stay local. Clever stuff.

Enlightenment CVS has moved!

The nice people over at enlightenment moved their CVS repo out of sourceforge. Trying to do a CVS update from cvs.sourceforge.net reminds me of the time I used to dial into VSNL landlines in the 90's. Redial… Redial… Redial.. :)

Guest Registers and Feedback Forms

I made the mistake of signing out the guest register at Tuscan Verve. I initially skipped the phone number for privacy reasons but the waiter insisted that I give him the number. Due to a previous confusion, I ended up leaving my number against my friends name which results in things like…

  • Gimme electro!

But the real flavour of Bangalore's club music came from DJ Vachan, who plays at Taika. His unique style of mixing an upcoming genre of dance music, called electro-house converted the atmosphere to a dance floor in Ibiza, and despite an initial technical hitch, he took the tempo and energy levels beyond imagination.

I should have been there. :( For some reason, I am never able to coincide my club/lounge visits with DJ sets that's not retro, commercial or cliched. Back I go to my Essential Mixes and Digweed shows!

    BSD Talk at MSRIT, Bangalore!

I gave a talk yesterday at Mukthi 6.03 held by the students at MSRIT titled The BSD World. I got my first feedback on IM today which went something like the talk on BSD was inspiring where can i get the source code?.

Quite happy with the response from students. Many of them raised their hands when I asked them how many would be trying out BSD after listening to me yak! :)
