FreeBSD: Broken AA Fonts on linux-opera

Using linux_base-rh-9 and linux-opera from ports is a bad idea. The AA fonts dont work due to missing Xft symbols in the libXft library. Seems like linux_base-rh-8 is the way to use Linux applications under FreeBSD for now. Also configured a 40G disk SATA disk remotely and did a full FreeBSD6 snapshot build into it. Everything is done, just need to get back to office on Monday and reboot into the new drive.

Nothing like a Redbull to keep one awake through late night hacks. :)

HINT: Use opera -debugfont when in trouble.

Making DD faster

Neat Tip – If you pipe the first dd into a second one, it'll let you run at the max speed of the slowest device.
